EEG at Loeffler

The current first-floor Loeffler building EEG collection first started in March-May 2022. And is used for Habit EEG Protocol (and maybe eventually SPA EEG). 7T EEG had some but not all data collected here. Both Habit and 7T data are stored in /Volumes/Hera/Raw/EEG/

Battery

  • ADC-Box Battery should be charged between sessions
  • Make sure that the orange (charging) light is always on when plugged in
  • Dr. Salisbury's group taught us to leave battery plugged in when not in use (assuming overcharge protection)

2024-12-13 - battery loosing charge capacity?

Audio

  • Reward Learning and Habituation Task (Habit Study (R37)) for reward feedback
  • Auditory Steady State Response (Brain Mechanisms R01 (7T)) passive listening to click trains
  • Using “ foam eartips” cortech 1)
    • transducer/air: loudspeaker variable timing, frequency
    • normal headphones would interfere with signal

Bucket Test

TODO

Timing/TTL

  • TTL sent over parallel port from presentation computer to control unit. see EEG Remarking Status Channel

Faraday Cage

The hardware was originally in Western Psych (formally/at the time “WPIC”) in Jenins office space, collaborating with Peter Bachman. Loeffler does not have a Faraday cage but the previous setup did.
